Synopsis:
On a Northern estate by the shifting tides of Morecambe Bay, a meat-pie girl and a good-hearted boy form an unlikely friendship when they build a secret crab sanctuary in the rocks. Amid bullies, broken homes, and small cruelties, they discover a quiet courage that binds them together.

When one runaway day pushes them across the bay, kindness becomes their compass — a force stronger than fear, class, or circumstance.

Odd Socks & Crabs is a tender, working-class coming-of-age story about friendship, innocence, and finding beauty in forgotten places.

A finalist at the Slick Film Fund Awards, the story is now being reimagined as a hand-drawn animated short in the lyrical, heartwarming style of The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse by Charlie Mackesy.
